“Gamelan Digital” Lestarikan Seni Dengan Teknologi Solusi Kreativitas Dimasa Pandemi
Ngomong soal gamelan, generasi muda ini adalah para penabuh handal karena menguasai teknik dan berbagai gaya dalam memainkan alat musik tradisi itu. Namun, dimasa pandemi yang wajib menerapkan protokol kesehatan khususnya dalam menjaga jarak dan tidak berkumpul, mereka tidak leluasa bisa berekspresi. Mereka hanya tinggal di rumah mengikuti instruksi pemerintah dengan disiplin, sambil mengenang pangalaman pentas dan sesekali mencoba memainkan alat gamelan itu sendiri. Apa dengan aktivitas itu saja mereka sudah merasa puas?
Lihat saja Komunitas Semal Megamel sangat kreatif memaknai masa pandemi dengan menggelar Workshop Music Digital 2020. Walau berlangsung sehari, workshop dengan tema “Meningkatkan Kreativitas Melalui Musik Digital Pada Masa Pandemi” ini disambut antosias anak-anak muda, khususnya penggiat seni gamelan Bali. Mereka menyalurkan hobi dan bakat dalam memainkan gamelan, melalui belajar gamelan digital. Workshop yang diikuti 30 peserta dengan menerapkan Protokol Kesehatan (Prokes) dibuka oleh Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kabupaten Badung I Wayan Adi Arnawa di Hotel Made Bali, Minggu (20/12).
Workshop ini menghadirkan narasumber, Wayan Ary wijaya S.Sn, penemu gamelan digital sejak 2000 tahun silam. Saat itu, seluruh peserta yang sudah siap dengan laptop, alat pembelajaran diberikan materi tentang Teknik Sampling Gamelan (Karawitan) Bali. Para peserta diajak memainkan gamelan dengam media teknologi berupa midi digital. Sistemnya, menggunakan software DAW (komputerisasi). Para peserta diajarkan teknik merekam, yakni memproses gending (lagu) mulai dari bermain live yang dilakukan sendiri dengan musik midi. “Ini dasarnya adalah pencatatan ide/gagasan komposisi, sehingga membentuk nada lalu merangkai menjadi sebuah lagu yang bersuara. Kalu mencatat di kertas, itu hanya berupa catatan saja, tidak bisa menghasilakn suara,” paparnya.
Memainkan gamelan digital ini, tanpa harus melibatkan orang banyak, namun lagu itu sudah bisa terwujud secara utuh. Artinya, tidak melibatkan orang banyak, menyiapkan berbagai jenis galeman, namun hasilnya bisa seperti gending yang dimainkan oleh sekaa gong yang kompak. Melalui media gamelan digital ini, nantinya bisa mentransfer langsung kepada penabuh untuk mewujudkan kedalam bentuk performance, dan bisa drekam untuk dijadikan album atau hanya disimpan dijadikan sebuah catatan. Alat yang digunakan, seperti mini recording, komputer, mike soundcard, controller, dan spiker. “Ketika penabuh itu tidak mempunyai gamelan, sedangkan komposer itu kaya ide dan kreatif, maka media inilah solusinya untuk mewujudkannya,” tegas pria Denpasar 13 novmber 1977 ini.
Pendiri dan owner Komunitas Palawara mengatakan, jika seniman Bali menguasai media ini, maka akan banyak bermunculan karya-karya baru. Hal itu akan dapat memberi warrna perkembangan kesenian Bali, khususnya dalam seni memainkan gamelan. Intinya jangan disalah gunakan media ini, sperti dfipergunakan di pura, sehingga etika seni itu hilang. Hal itu sangat penting menjadi perahatian, sebab ini merupakan media rekam saja. Pada saat ngayah di pura tetap menampilkan penabuh dengan memainkan gemelan yang asli, sehingga budaya Bali khususnya dalam seni itu tetap lestari. Kegiatan “ngayah” juga penting, dan ini lebih penting karena itu sudah menjadi budaya dan kebudayaan itu tetap menjadi identitas kita,” pesan alumni STSI (ISI sekarang) 1996 – 2000 ini.
Gamelan digital ini memang sering dipandang sebelah mata, diangap mematikan keberadaan kesenian Bali karena mengarah pada individu. Hal itu sesungguhnya tidak benar, malah justru menjadi solusi. Sebut saja dimasa pandemi ini, orang tidak boleh berkumpul, sehingga cara ini bisa dipakai. “Jaman sekarang Covid-19 ini, gamelan digital dapat menyikapi protokol kesehatan, tidak menyita waktu teman-teman lebih lama, tidak harus melibatkan orang banyak. “Media ini menjadi partner sharing, sehingga ketemu di tempat sudah jadi. Nah, untuk menghilangkan kesan individu itu bisa disiasati dengan menggelar turnamen, sehingga ada ajang untuk bertemu. Ingat, ini bukan membunuh kreativitas,” pungkasnya.
Ketua Panitia I Gede Cita Sastrawan melaporkan, di Tahun 2020 merupakan tahun yang berbeda bagi semua orang seperti terjadinya penurunan ekonomi yang dirasakan oleh semua pihak karena adanya wabah Covid-19. Sehingga pada masa pandemi seperti sekarang ini juga berdampak kepada para seniman dimana ruang gerak para seniman sangat terbatas, bahkan perhelatan seni terbesar di Bali yang biasa dilaksanakan setiap bulan Juni-Juli ditiadakan. Hal tersebut membuat seniman yang menggantungkan hidupnya pada kesenian tidak bisa berbuat apa-apa terlebihnya lagi panggung untuk para musisi dan seniman tidak bisa diadakan karena tidak boleh berkerumun.
Melihat hal tersebut, Komunitas Seni Semal Megambel ingin membangkitkan kembali semangat para seniman maupun musisi untuk bisa berkarya kembali. “Maka dari itu kami dari komunitas akan mewadahi sekaligus sebagai jembatan untuk para seniman/musisi khususnya di Bali agar bisa menuangkan karya-karya yang telah vakum selama kurang lebih 10 bulan,” terangnya seraya berharap pandemi ini segera berakhir dan aktivitas masyarakat khususnya para seniman bisa kembali normal dan ekonomi kembali pulih.
