Tari Baris Wayang Bukan Menarikan Wayang
Geraknya penuh makna, stakato dan sangat khas. Ekspresinya kuat yang masing-masing menggambarkan karakter kelima tokoh Pandawa. Tetapi, tarian itu bukanlah wayang yang bergerak unik di belakang kelir. Karya seni itu adalah Tari Baris Wayang yang lahir dari konsep seniman kreatif I Gede Gusman Adhi Gunawan.S.Sn.,M.Sn. Tari kreasi baru ini sebuah karya yang menstranformasi gerak-gerak wayang yang berada di belakang kelir. Esensi geraknya, murni wayang tradisi yang diangkat ke dalam sebuah seni panggung.
Tari Baris Wayang menjadi tarian putra yang menarik di jaman ini. Motif geraknya merupakan representasi atau transpormasi dari gerak-gerak wayang kulit yang ditarikan oleh seorang dalang. Gerak unik dari boneka dua dimensi itu, kemudian ditransformasikan kedalam tubuh penari yang lentur dan kuat. Tubuh-tubuh penari itu kemudian mengeksplorasikan atau menirukan gerak wayang yang unik dan khas itu kedalam karya seni tari kreatif. Tentu diikuti dengan ekpresi seni yang kuat, sehingga menjadi sajian seni tari yang indah.
Tari Baris Wayang didukung Sanggar Seni Gumiart sudah pernah tampil dalam acara dan kegiatan seni bersifat nasional maupun daerah. Pada perhelatan Festival Seni Bali Jani 2019 disajikan di Kalangan Angsoka, Taman Budaya Provinsi Bali, pada Pekan Generasi Sadar Aksara (Parasara) Pebruari 2020 dan disajikan pada ajang Festival Kelayang 2 Kabupaten Belitung. Hampir disetiap penampilannya, taria ini menjadi magnet, karena selalu tampil memukau.
Wawan Gumiart yang juga selaku pemilik dan pimpinan Sanggar Gumiart ini mengatakan, pada awal penciptaanya pada 2017, Tari Baris Wayang didukung oleh 7 orang penari. Namun, karena perkembangan sesuai dengan permintaan, akhirnya mulai dikonsep dengan 5 orang penari. “Karena sering ditarikan oleh 5 orang, maka memberikan filosofi tambahan dengan mengangkat karakter tokoh Pandawa. Pada awalnya hanya menarikan gerak-gerak wayang, dengan membawakan karakter Pandawa ditambah Karna dan Kresna,” paparnya.
Tari ini digarap oleh koreografer Farda Gumiart dan Ary Palawara sebagai penggarap musiknya. Sementara konseptorenya adalah Wawan Gumiart. “Tari ini idenya lahir dari ketertarikannya terhadap gerak-gerak wayang, lalu menirukan ke dalam tubuh penari. Dalam proses itu, akhirnya muncul pengembangan ide lagi dengan menggendong wayang besar dan menggerakan atau menarikannya. Dalam menarikan wayang secara tidak secara lasim yang biasa ditarikan oleh kedua tangan dalang. Tetapi gerakannya, seperti wayang golek, tetapi wujud aslinya wayang kulit,” cerita Wawan Gumiart.
Wawan Gumiart mengatakan, tari ini tidak menyampaikan pesan secara implisit, hanya ingin sebagai ekplosrasi tubuh saja. Bagamana sekiranya tubuh itu menarikan gerakan wayang dibalik kelir. Sebagai garapan baru, itunya menjadi tantangan sendiri supaya ada pembaruan dari segi gerak. “Kalau gerakan wayang yang aslinya diatarikan oleh dalang, namun dalam tubuh penari secara sepintas terlihat berbeda. Visual itu menjadi menarik, sehingga menjadi gagasan baru dari karya ini,” imbuhnya.
Tari Baris Wayang tergolong tari bebarisan, maka esensi geraknya lebih banyak gerak Tari Baris. Gerakannya tari bebarisan dikombinasi dengan gerak wayang. Sementara pola lantai menggunakan koreografi pada umumnya yang memanfaatkan ruang. Ada dinamika, kelompok, arah hadap, level, dan lainnya. Tempo dan aksentuasi lebih banyak ada, itu karena ciri khas karya beberisan yang memiliki aksentuasi yang tajam. Buasananya menyerupai wayang kulit, properti wayang dalam ukuran lebih besar.
