Festival Seni Bali Jani Ruang Strategis Pengembangan Seni Inovasi, Modern dan Kontemporer
Bali tak hanya kaya dengan kesenian tradisi, tetapi juga terkenal dengan kesenian modern. Teater modern penting terus diberikan wadah pemanggungan, sehingga perkembangannya tercatat dengan baik. Festival Seni Bali Jani (FSBJ) diharapkan menjadi ajang untuk berkembangnya teater modern Bali di masa-masa mendatang.
Hal itu, terungkap pada acara Timbang Rasa (Serasehan) serangkaian FSBJ III tahun 2021 di Lantai Bawah Gedung Ksirarnawa, Art Center Taman Budaya Denpasar, Provinsi Bali, Sabtu 30 Oktober 2021.
Timbang Rasa bertajuk “Membangun Ekosistem Teater Modern Bali”, Stagnasi, Dinaminasi dan Prestasi itu menghadirkan dua narasumber yaitu Ida Bagus Martinaya, S.Pd.,M.Sos dan Putu Satria Kusuma, serta Putu Suarthama bertindak sebagai moderator. Timbang Rasa kali ini digelar secara Zoom Meeting yang diikuti oleh seniman, penggiat kesenian modern dan masyarakat pecinta seni.
Kedua narasumber itu sepakat, melalui pembinaan di sekolah-sekolah keberadaan teater modern terus di Pulau Dewata akan berkembang.
Dengan perkemgangan teater modern di lembaga pendidikan itu, diharapkan banyak melahirkan pegiat-pegiat teater modern. “Kami bersyukur ada FSBJ yang sudah memasuki tahun ketiga ini, sehingga seni inovasi, modern dan kontemporer mendapat ruang yang strategis,” ungkap Gus Martin.
Sutradara dan penulis ini kemudian menegaskan, teater modern Bali, bukan teater modern di Bali. Artinya, pegiat teater modern Bali pelakunya adalah seniman Bali. Keberadaan seni tradisi mempertegas bentuk teater modern Bali. “Itulah kekuatan teater modern Bali,” ungkapnya.
Sementara Putu Satria Kusuma menegaskan, teater itu sangat perlu ada. Melalui teater, para seniman bisa menuangkan gagasan atau pesan yang bisa dijadikan tauladan dalam menjalani hidup. “Persoalan apakah, teater modern banyak penonton dan sedikit penonton? Itu bukan menjadi tujuan utama. Intinya para seniman bisa mengungkapkan ide-idenya melalui seni teater ini,” paparnya. [B/*]
