Pohon Tua Creatorium Tak Tunduk Pada Pagebluk
Beri aku satu pemuda, maka aku guncang dunia. Beri aku beberapa musisi muda, maka aku berseri-seri warnai gunung, sawah, sungai, ngarai, dan pantai.
Pohon Tua Creatorium barangkali belum membuat gegar secara global, dan sejatinya memang bukan menargetkan capaian muluk-muluk. Misinya cenderung bersahaja: memberi warna, menerangi, dan membuat kancah musik Indonesia makin indah-mencengangkan.
Manuver paling mutakhir dari kolektif yang terdiri dari Pohon Tua (komendan), Gun (tukang son), Ira (bimbingan dan penyuluhan), dan Bintang (gulung kabel) adalah mendorong empat bukan-pahlawannya meluncurkan nyanyian dan gambar hidup: Manja dengan lagu “Rise”, Soulfood lewat tembang “Ain’t No Money It’s Ok”, Soul & Kith munculkan video musik “Sorrow”, serta Truedy Duality melepas video lirik “A Mad Deus Most Art”.
Bicara genre musik pun duh-gusti puspawarna. Mulai dari atmospheric rock, Southern Gothic, rancak Motown & misedukasi-Lauryn Hill, hingga art punk Moksartham Jagadhita. Bak hendak berteriak mengabari Nusantara bahwa Bali bukan monokrom. Tak cuma Superman Is Dead, Navicula, The Hydrant. Tidak sebatas punk, grunge, dan rockabilly saja.
Lalu, kenapa tetap bersikeras meluncurkan karya ke publik, padahal sedang katastrofe, alias industri musik sedang lesu. Bukannya sebaiknya menunggu, ndan?
“Orientasi tiap seniman pasti berbeda, industri lesu atau gak lesu, bagiku kreasi gak harus ikut lesu. Mereka band muda dan baru terjun di industri. Bedanya mereka mulai di saat musik industri lagi gak asik, tapi seniman bukannya harus bisa kreasi dimana pun dalam kondisi apa pun? Aku yakin bahwa mereka akan lebih siap dari siapapun saat pandemi ini selesai. Menunggu adalah pekerjaan yang tak pasti, tapi berkreasi adalah mutlak. Duit dan menjadi tenar itu komplemen, bonus. Yang penting jangan tambah “sampah” di industri yang sudah lesu,” sahut Pohon Tua dengan mimik kalem mencekam (baca: populis tapi bengis).
Setuju sekali. Jangan tunduk pada pagebluk. Rajinlah berkreasi, sekaligus melatih diri, sehingga berujung beruntun menghasilkan karya yang baik.
Jadilah saksi di akhir pekan, Sabtu sejak petang, 12 September 2020, kawanan muda Pohon Tua Creatorium unjuk aksi di Rumah Sanur serta turut rasakan bagaimana Bali bakal kian bangga dengan skena mini tapi maksi, kecil padahal kolosal. [B/*]
